Return to home pageOne of the largest segments of the golf industry is destinations, resorts and daily fee courses. GMS was responsible in the '90s for building the State of Michigan into one of the top golf destinations in the country. This included a number of initiatives such as the formulation of the "Michigan Golf Council" and developing and publicizing Michigan as "America's Summer Golf Capital."
During this time, GMS also represented a number of high profile Michigan courses and resorts as clients. One of these was the prestigious Bay Harbor Golf Club in northern Michigan. Once a toxic waste site, Bay Harbor stretches for five miles on breathtaking scenic bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan. GMS' media blitz positioned Bay Harbor as the "Pebble Beach of the Midwest." which delivered numerous state and national rankings.
Based in Orlando, GMS has represented a number of award-winning resorts and clubs in Florida. These include Mission Inn Resort, Orange County National, Errol Estates Country Club, Black Bear Golf Club, Indian River Golf Club, Grand Haven Golf Club, Palm Coast Resort, Ocean Hammock and Reunion Club and Resort.
